The battle for the Partition world, Sobd, in the Perkunos system is of little note, beyond that it saw the last confirmed deployment of the Flesh Eaters' Chapter Master, Jan Velghor. After this point, Command of the Pentarchy of Blood was ceded to Gorn of the Charnel Guard.

Post-Sobd, the advancing Star Wardens had been fought to a temporary standstill at the stanchion city of Poly Rum on Dantin by the sacrifice of much of their 6th Cadre. It was at this point that the Flesh Eaters attacked once more in force. At their head were the Flesh Eaters' Sanguinary Guard, bereft of their Chapter Master.
