War-chief Botros Senn

Senn was elevated to the rank of War-Chief of the Red Talons after the events of the Diet of Fools, his merits as a merciless task-master and stubborn second-in-command to Moritat-Immortal Perkûn. With a hard core of veterans from the 3rd Company forming the backbone, the new recruits would see their first action at Qorabbas, serving alongside the Flesh Eaters

In the aftermath of Qorabbas, the Red Talons diverted their attention to the Riven Lords. Senn joined his erstwhile master just before the Red Talon fleet made contact with the barge carrying the Riven Lords’ 10th Company. The action is described in more detail in a separate data-packet. Senn was at the forefront of the boarding, his Caestus Assault boat amongst the first to make contact.

Eager to prove the worth of his newly raised company, Senn purged the port-side magazines and barracks, killing chapter-serfs and 10th company recruits with equal abandon. Quitting the slaughter after meeting his objectives, Senn was not aboard the Riven Lords vessel at the end. A large part of his own brethren were [//recordsincomplete; spooling+]

Future rivalries with the Riven Lords would be sealed on this day in the blood of the young prospects, but few figures were as hated as Botros Senn. The enmity earned on that day would haunt him throughout the War of the False Primarch, with Riven Lord Astartes actively seeking him out on the battlefield to exact the bloody debt they believed he owed them. Senn, for his part, would be there to welcome them, a spiteful sneer on his lips and hatred burning in his remaining eye.

Senn and his Company were also involved in a number of high profile conflicts with the emergent Silver Stars.
The Third had a key role during the crucial War of Broken Bones; as a result of which the Wormwood Sons and Star Wardens’ heavy armour was not present during the Machinedeath on Strabo’s Star, tipping the balance against the assembled Partisans on Null.

In concert with the Chapter Master and the Fifth Company under War-chief Caracalla, Senn and the Third were instrumental in the initial victories over the Myrean League Shieldworlds and the Storm Tyrants.

Senn himself was badly injured during the fighting on Neo Jove, and was relegated to back line warfare for nearly two years during a key stage of the war. In a twist of fate, this allowed the War-chief to exercise his skills on a broader strategic level, where he proved most capable in stymieing the Partisan’s plans. He was the eventual target of a Marines Mendicant decapitation strike on the key system of Moreaumunda in the mid-war period; his location becoming known to the Partisans owing primarily to the efforts of Tender Consensus and Agree to Disagree, vengeful squads of Marines Mendicant whose members included no fewer than four Riven Lords dedicated obsessively to tracking and locating him.
