- Splinter forces of an unidentified fleet in-system translation identified in-system. Estimated timespan to initial report: three days Terran Standard. Early fears of Silver Stars fleet deployment partially salved by astrotelepathic snooptrace, which indicated the fleet emerged from an obscure but known area of the galactic west.
- Contact attempts eventually reached a response: datatrace confirmation of Carcharadon presence was met with general approbation – and I confess, no small amount of personal relief.
- I boarded the Carcharodon's Flagship Nicor with my retinue and took up quarters shortly after contact was established.
- I report that the fleet took action immediately, and against my advice, by assaulting Tannbach-Principal, the key Armoury World of the Tannbach Cluster.
- The speed of the attack meant that the orbital planetary defence system was boarded and scuttled without substantial use. Astartes forces made planetfall on Principal and Tarentus (Tannbach Tertiary) shortly afterwards.
- Scorched Earth protocol applied
- A series of Terminator deep-strikes and shock drop pod assaults ensued; the Tannbach PDF proved unable to muster notable resistance
- Within hours the planetary defence forces capitulated; offering their banners to the invaders.
- Planetary government captured after short siege of The Moderamen Palace in Tannbach Principal.
- Elite Astartes units deployed through moda teleporta into Palace Throne room.
- While direct reports were impossible to secure, I can confirm with some degree of certainty that the Palace Guard perished within minutes, if not seconds. Those who surrendered were executed.
- While aloof and limited in their general demeanour towards me, they presented the execution of Imperial Commander Lord Heinhold Garmeier, as well as other planetary government officials, in a remarkable complete form.
- I hesitate to use the word 'heroism', but I have no such qualms in recommending that the efficacy of Strike leader Te Kohu could be pict- and voxcast on my behalf on all Planetary broadcasting networks for agitprop purposes. The speed and horror of the Carcharodons' attack would, I suspect, go a long way to ensuring loyalty to the Throne through the High Lords.

A brief summation, Lord Leong-Cassar:
- Numbers of Astartes on the planet are estimated at company strength – though from what I gather this is likely to be part of a broader campaign. I recommend that traffic through local wilderness space begin broadcasting Senatorum codes to avoid caeruleum ad caeruleum contact.
- Heavy civilian losses confirmed. I have every reason to suspect this was a deliberate tactic employed by the Chapter.
- Explosions in habitation hubs reported
- I have a lone and unsubstiated report that large groups of young male civilians were brought to landing crafts by Astartes and chapter serfs in the wake of the attack. To what purpose I have yet to ascertain.
- First Carcharodon forces are reported to be evacuated from planet site by Thunderhawks and smaller troop carriers.
- Cleansing of planet is expected to be finished within two more days s.t.t.
- Neighbouring Planets Tannbach Principal, and Tannbach Tertiary under Orbital Bombardment, Astartes Troops ready for deployment
- Cluster Moon (fabricator planet) under siege by Astartes Troops, no bombardment ordered
- So far no contact with traitor Astartes reported
